Your data is protected - and so are your people
Employee data is sensitive. PulseDesk is built to keep it secure, to show it only to the right people and to help you meet your legal obligations.
Hosted in the United Kingdom
The service and its database run on dedicated cloud infrastructure in London (Akamai Connected Cloud).
Encrypted connections
Every connection to PulseDesk - dashboard, desktop app and API - uses HTTPS/TLS. Passwords are stored as strong one-way hashes, never in plain text.
Role-based access
Every request checks who is asking and what they may see - on the server, not just in the interface. Each company's data is kept strictly separate.
Protected screenshots
Screenshots are never public. They are shown only to permitted roles, through short-lived signed links, and deleted after the retention period you choose.
Audit trail
Attempts to close or uninstall the desktop app are recorded and reported to administrators.
Backups
Regular database backups are kept on separate storage so the service can be restored if something goes wrong.
Responsible AI
Lucy and meeting summaries only use data the person is allowed to see. Our AI provider does not use your data to train its models.
Deletion & export
Owners can remove people and data and export what they need. Data is deleted when you close your account, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Good workplace analytics are open about what they do. PulseDesk is designed so that employees know, understand and can see their own data.
- The desktop app always shows an icon in the system tray and explains what it records at sign-in.
- Everyone can see their own day, productivity, rota and leave.
- Private time pauses tracking for personal moments, and idle time is never counted as work.
